Weekend Review October 27-31

Weekend Review is your chance to catch up on all the biggest news stories from Chatham-Kent and the surrounding municipalities in southwestern Ontario.

During the first segment, we’ll break down some of the top news stories to hit BlackburnNews.com in Chatham-Kent over the past week headlined by an extensive wrap-up of the results from the municipal election.

From Windsor to Wingham and everything in between, the second segment focuses on BlackburnNews.com’s regional coverage of southwestern Ontario, wrapping things up with “Weese’s Pieces” from BlackburnNews.com’s John Weese, who shares a festive piece on Halloween and why you should be nice to the trick-or-treaters who come to your door.

In the third segment of Weekend Review this week, we’ll hear a pair of extended interviews. First up, BlackburnNews.com’s Simon Crouch speaks with municipal clerk Judy Smith about how the election process went this time around, especially with the introduction of online voting in Chatham-Kent. After that, BlackburnNews.com reporter Jake Kislinsky asks someone at the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre about “phone spoofing” after someone called a Chatham woman repeatedly this past week, pretending to be a police officer.
