Sarnia swimmers bring home 15 medals from London

Several local swimmers have added some hardware to their collections after winning medals at a recent event.
A dozen swimmers with Sarnia Rapids qualified for the 2023 Western Region Short Course Championships, which were held in London last week.
Head Coach Sue Weir said local competitors achieved 34 top-eight finishes.
The event included 583 swimmers who represented 26 teams.
Matthew Kemp won four gold medals; Allan Sundby walked away with one gold, three silvers, and one bronze; Aili Girardi won two silver and one bronze; and Jack Girardi, Daisy Jenkins and Lucas Jones each won bronze medals.
