Sting land big forward from Bulldogs

The Sarnia Sting have made another trade ahead of Tuesday's OHL trade deadline.

The hockey club acquired forward Brenden Anderson from the Hamilton Bulldogs in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2026 OHL draft.

Anderson, 19, had two goals and two assists in 64 OHL games over two seasons with Hamilton. The 6'5" native of Ohsweken also collected a goal and assist in 12 postseason games in 2022.

In a media release, Sting General Manager Dylan Seca said Anderson is a big winger with the physical tools that they believe are important down the stretch and into the playoffs.

"He is a player with some upside and more importantly has experienced the playoff grind and knows what it takes to be a champion. We are excited to welcome Brenden and the Anderson family to Sarnia," said Seca.

The trade is one of many made the Sting have made this season. On Monday, the club dealt Chandler Romeo to the Guelph Storm for a sixth round pick. Over the weekend, the Sting acquired Ethan Del Mastro and Luca Del Bel Belluz from Mississauga. Last month, Sarnia traded for Erie Otters defenceman Christian Kyrou, and in November, the Sting made a deal with the Guelph Storm for NHL prospect Sasha Pastujov.

The OHL's trade deadline is set for 12 p.m. Tuesday.
