Sting lose 4-1 in Owen Sound

The Sarnia Sting fell 4-1 to the Attack in Owen Sound Saturday night.

Sarnia opened the scoring at the 14 minute mark of the first period on a short handed goal by Nolan Burke, his 30th of the season, with assists going to Marko Sikic and Ethan Ritchie.

The Attack would bounce back in the second period on goals from Cal Uens and William Portokalis.

Logan LeSage and Cedrick Guindon would add two more goals in the third period.

Anson Thornton made 43 saves for the Sting while Corbin Votary and Nick Chenard combined to turn aside 18 shots.

With the loss Sarnia's record falls to 25-28-4-1 on the season.

The Sting hold down the eighth and final playoff spot in the OHL's Western Conference, just three points ahead of Erie who beat Guelph 4-1 on Saturday.

The two teams conclude a home-and-home series in Sarnia Sunday at 2:00 p,m,.
