Thornton backs Sting to first home win

Sting goaltender Anson Thornton made 32 saves and picked up his first OHL victory in Sarnia's 4-1 win over Erie Sunday afternoon.

Forward Nikita Tarasevich opened the scoring 6:38 into the second period, his first OHL goal.  Nolan Dann and Ty Voit each had a goal and an assist, and Cameron Supryka added an empty netter.

It was the Sting's first home win of the season and second victory of the weekend.  The club is now 3-5-2 on the season.

Sarnia is back in action Friday night versus Windsor.  Puckdrop from Progressive Auto Sales Arena is set for 7:05 p.m.
