Varsity sports at Lambton College to resume this fall

The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) has given the green light for sports to return to college campuses in the fall.

Tournament structures along with playoff and championship formats have been modified for the upcoming 2021-22 varsity season, to reduce travel and meet public health guidelines.

Both men's and women's soccer will be divided into four regional pools instead of the traditional east-west format.

Men's baseball will debut its east-west format for the first time with an expansion to eight teams.

Teams will play double-round robin doubleheaders for a total of 14 games during the regular season.

Lambton College is encouraging students who will be attending in the fall and interested in playing a varsity sport to fill out their prospective student-athlete forms.
