Legionnaires crushed by first place London

The Sarnia Legionnaires (3-7-0-2) were hammered 10-4 by the first place London Nationals (12-1-0-1) in GOJHL hockey action at Sarnia Arena Thursday.

Michael Boushy scored twice and added three assists for London while Max Vinogradov had a hat trick and Cal Davis and Zach Sheedy each had four points.

Nolan DeGurse led the way for the Legionnaires with two goals. Jake Vince and Brendan Bouvier both scored as well. Logan Gardner had two helpers.

Legionnaires goalie Nolan DeKoning stopped 37 of 47 shots faced. London's Bryce Walcarius made 17 saves on 20 shots before being pulled in favour of Devyn Clark who stopped 12 of 13 shots faced.

Sarnia is tied with St. Thomas for last place in the Western Conference with eight points. London has 25 points, two up on second place Leamington.

The Legionnaires are back in action on Saturday night in Strathroy.
