Sarnia Sting fans will want to keep a close eye on the Columbus Blue Jackets during this weekend’s NHL prospect tournament in Traverse City, Michigan.

Sting Captain Ryan McGregor is on the Jackets rookie camp roster along with teammates Brayden Guy and Eric Hjorth.

Former Sting Nikita Korostelev is also vying for a spot on the Columbus roster.

McGregor was property of the Leafs until he failed to sign a contract with them earlier this year. Hjorth was Columbus’ fourth-round pick in 2019, while Guy is a free agent invitee.

Sean Josling is with the Blackhawks, and Sam Bitten is with Minnesota. Sting 2013 draft pick Nick Boka is also in the mix for the Wild.

The Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, and St. Louis Blues are also taking part.

The prospect tournament runs from September 6 to 10, with training camp scheduled for September 13 to 16.
