Sting Acquire Rymsha from 67s

The Sarnia Sting announced a trade Saturday night following their win over the Sudbury Wolves.

The team has acquired 18-year-old centre Drake Rymsha from the Ottawa 67s. In return, the 67's get two second round picks (SAR ’18 & WSR ’20) a third round pick (PBO ‘19) and a fourth round pick (SAR ’17).

Rymsha, a native of Michigan, has 15 goals and 29 points in 37 games so far this season.

"Drake is a player that we have coveted for quite some time now and thought very highly of going back to his draft year with the Jr. Canadiens," said Sting general manager Nick Sinclair in a press release. "He’s a multi-dimensional player that brings a combination of skill and grit to the rink every night. He plays an honest game and his will to compete will make him a solid addition to our current group.”

Rymsha was drafted in the fifth round by the London Knights in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, but was then dealt to the 67s.
