Legionnaires Welcome New Faces

Sarnia Legionnaires announce the signing of Michigan native Alec Scarsella, and have picked up Chatham's Austin Bentley from the Waterloo Siskins.

Bentley, a 19-year-old from Chatham, had 13 goals and 16 assists with the Siskins last season. Previously he spent two seasons in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League with Blenheim and Dresden.

Scarsella is an 18-year-old native of White Lake, Michigan who had ten goals and four assists in 18 games in the state's Junior Varsity Hockey League.

Several players from last year's club are also returning, including Eric Marsh, Ethan DuPont, Joey Zappa, Zack Vanderwal and captain Hunter Tyczynski.

The team also announced that Jarret Marks, Brett Storr and Sam McCormick will return as assistant captains.

Sarnia's two day training camp gets underway Saturday August 20 and continues on the Sunday at Clearwater Arena. They will play the first of six exhibition games August 23 when they hosts the Chatham Maroons.
