Rookies Lead Sting Over Sudbury

Chase Campbell and Ryan McGregor both scored their first OHL goals and in a 3-2 win Sunday.

It was a bit of a slow start for the Sting, trailing Sudbury 1-0 through 20 minutes and being out shot 9-5.

Campbell evened the score with just under five minutes remaining in the second period, Daniel Nikandrov and Brandon Lindberg picked up the assists.

Sarnia came out strong in the third period as rookies Ryan McGregor and Sasha Chemlevski scored to give the Sting a 3-1 lead.

Sudbury would trim the lead to one but that's as close as they would get. Justin Fazio stopped 28 shots in the Sting net to record his fifth win of the season.

The win improves Sarnia's record to 5-2-1 on the season.
