The Sarnia Lady Sting Novice C came away with the Gold Medal at the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Provincial Championship this past weekend in Toronto.

In their first game of the tournament against the Waterloo Ravens, Ella Jackson scored the game winning goal, assisted by Tessa Jackson and Neely Jewell. It was a tightly fought game and the Lady Sting came out ahead with a 1-0 victory.

The second game was against the Ilderton Jets. Sarnia dominated this game with an 11-1 win to advance to the quarter finals.

The Lady Sting beat Chatham 4-1 in the quarters, pulled off a 2-1 win over Petrolia in the semis and downed Sault St. Marie 3-0 to capture the gold medal.
