TSL hosting open house to kick off summer season

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is kicking off the summer tourism season with an open house Friday, June 2.

Executive Director Mark Perrin invites you to the Venetian Boulevard location from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

"We thought it would be a great way to relaunch what we've been working on with our partners," said Perrin. "We have a lot of great new apparel, new Sarnia-Lambton merchandise, Ontario Blue Coast merchandise for adults and kids."

Perrin said they also showcase things from local breweries and wineries and their 2023 Travel Guides and maps will be available at the open house.

"We have some different contests that people can enter, and giveaways, and we actually will have a six feet tall beach ball that people can come and take photos with. It's been a hit so far."

Perrin said they've changed things around a bit since the Ontario Travel Information Centre vacated the building.

"What we've done is remodeled our space just to go with the changes of the building now that we're the only tenant in it. It just allows us a little more room to showcase Lambton County and bring in more partners," he said.

Perrin said they continue to work with the building owner, the Federal Bridge Corporation, to secure a new tenant.

"They've been doing some maintenance to the building at this time, looking to eventually put [the space] for lease. We hope to attract a business that will help cater to the hotels and our tourism industry," he added.
