Sting sign American free agent to OHL agreement

The Sarnia Sting have added an American free agent to the mix.

On Friday, the club announced the signing of 5’10”, 2006-born forward Dennis Lominac to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Standard Player Agreement.

The Commerce Township, MI native tallied 12 goals and seven assists through 15 regular season games played with the Compuware 16U AAA in the High Performance Hockey League (HPHL).

The left shot forward recorded four goals and four assists through five appearances during the post season.

Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca is pleased to welcome Lominac to the Sting family.

"Dennis is free agent forward who we tracked for most of the second half of this past season," said Seca. "He’s a competitive forward with a goal scoring touch. We really like the potential here and see some qualities that will help him become a valuable player for our organization. We’d like to welcome Dennis and the Lominac family to Sarnia."

On Friday, the Sting also signed 2023 fourth round pick Hughston Hurt.

Defenseman Nathan Omeri signed with the club earlier this week, second round pick James Barr signed a deal last week, and first rounder Ryan Brown was signed at the start of the month.
