Sting fall to Otters 5-2

On the heels of an at-home victory, the Sarnia Sting lost to the Otters 5-2 at Erie Insurance Arena Saturday night.

Marko Sikic scored the first goal of the night for Sarnia during a power play in the first period with assists from Sasha Pastujov and Ty Voit.

The only other goal of the night for Sarnia was scored by Voit during the third period with assists from Ethan Del Mastro and Sikic.

Sarnia goalie Nicholas Surzycia made 28 saves of 33 shots on net.

The Sting downed Owen Sound Friday in Sarnia's last home game of the regular season.

The local OHL team has little time to rest as the Sting are back on the ice Sunday afternoon at Niagara. Puck drop is set for 2 p.m. The game can be heard on CHOK (103.9 FM/1070 AM).

As determined Saturday night, the Sting will play the Guelph Storm in the Western Conference Quarter Finals. The first two games of the playoffs will be held in Sarnia at Progressive Auto Sales Arena on March 31 and April 2. Tickets go on sale Tuesday.
