Sting silence Attack in 4-1 win

The Sarnia Sting beat the Owen Sound Attack 4-1 Friday night at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, for the final home game of the 2022-2023 regular season.
The Sting extended their point streak to 17 games (14-0-1-2) with goals from Ty Voit, Easton Wainwright, Marcus Limpar-Lantz, and Luca Del Bel Belluz.
Del Bel Belluz’s empty-netter was his 40th goal this season.
The Sting are locked into third place in the Western Conference.
West Division champion Windsor Spitfires beat the London Knights 6-3 to secure the top spot on Friday.
The Midwest Division champion Knights will be seeded second.
The Sarnia Sting are back on the ice Saturday to play the Erie Otters at Erie Insurance Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. The game can be heard on CHOK (103.9 FM/1070 AM).
During Friday’s game, the Sting were also able to celebrate the club’s overage players, where members of their families joined them on the ice for a brief ceremony.

Although an opponent has not been finalized, the Sting released home dates on Saturday for round one of the playoffs, along with various scenarios should the Sting face the Guelph Storm, Owen Sound Attack, or Kitchener Rangers.
Regardless of the opponent, game one of the Western Conference Quarter Finals will be on Friday, March 31 at 7:05 p.m. at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. The second game of the post-season will be on Sunday, April 2 at 2:05 p.m. in Sarnia.
Playoff tickets will go on sale Tuesday.
