LPH reopening 'Ask a Public Health Nurse' program at main office

Weekly drop-in programs are resuming at Lambton Public Health in Point Edward.

The health unit said effective Wednesday, March 22, the Exmouth Street location will once again offer its Ask a Public Health Nurse program to parents and caregivers with children ranging from birth to school-age.

Public Health Nurses (PHN) will be available to answer questions ranging from breastfeeding support, nutrition, parenting to growth and development.

“Ask a Public Health Nurse gives parents and caregivers the chance to ask important questions about their child’s growth and development, but it also offers important opportunities for socialization that can have long-term benefits for both parents and child,” said Clinical and Family Services Supervisor, Jen Beaubien in a news release.

The programs out of the health unit's Point Edward office were put on hold in March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A full list of drop-in sites, dates and times are available here.
