UPDATE: Snow squalls off Lake Huron prompts warning for parts of Lambton County

A snow squall warning issued for north and east Lambton County has ended.

Environment Canada said Friday morning that snow squalls off Lake Huron would continue through Friday evening, combined with northwest winds gusting up to 60 kilometres an hour.

The national weather agency said significantly reduced visibility in heavy and blowing snow was possible.

The snow squall warning ended Friday afternoon, shortly after 3:15 p.m. The warning remains in effect for the neighbouring region of London-Middlesex.

Environment Canada said snow squalls can cause weather conditions to vary considerably, changing from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres.
