Sienna Senior Living is in the process of finalizing plans to reunite Fairwinds Lodge residents with their belongings.
Since then, the majority of the 120 residents have been relocated with family members while alternate living arrangements have been made for others.
In an email to Sarnia News Today, the facility's management company says they're working hard to connect residents with their personal belongings.
"Currently, the property remains closed for safety reasons," read the statement. "However, we are putting a process in place to reunite residents with as many of their belongings as possible. Members of our operations team and Winmar Restoration are on the ground to assist with all of these aspects. We hope to be able to convey these details shortly. The many donations collected at the Community Christ Church are very much appreciated. Thank you on behalf of all residents, families and team members. We are truly grateful to be part of such a special community.”
Sienna Senior Living said the team is communicating with affected families regularly through phone, email, virtual town-halls and in person.
