Kniaziew Optometry opens clinic in Sarnia

A family-owned and operated company is expanding operations and will open an optometry clinic in Sarnia at the end of January.

The new Kniaziew Optometry clinic will be located at 545 Murphy Rd., making it their third location in Sarnia-Lambton and 11th in southwestern Ontario.

"A few years ago, we made a commitment to Sarnia-Lambton to open up three clinics. So in 2020, we opened up in Petrolia, and then in 2021, we opened up in Corunna," said Manager Jordan Kniaziew.

The Sarnia location is expected to open the week of January 23.

"We're really excited about that. It's something we've been looking at for a while," Kniaziew said. "We've always felt that Sarnia has huge growth potential, there just seems to be a lot of positive economic development within Sarnia, and the community has been super supportive at our other two clinics."

Kniaziew said staff for the new location are in place and are currently being trained.

Dr. Roma Pushka said she is happy to return to Sarnia after she previously lived in the city for many years, read a media release.

“Sarnia welcomes Kniaziew Optometry to the community," said Mayor Mike Bradley in a statement. "This family-owned and operated company by locating here in Sarnia-Lambton sends a strong message about the strength of the local economy and the communities’ positive vision for the future.”

Kniaziew said there will be plenty of slots available over the coming months for new patients to book appointments at the Sarnia location.
