Members of the Sarnia Police Service, OPP, London Search and Rescue, Huron Search and Rescue, and Sarnia and Point Edward Fire conducted an intense search with no success.

Police said a pedestrian found Robertson's body off an embankment within the tall grass and water on January 12 at around 5 p.m.

"The area where Mr. Robertson was located was outside the intense search area but a drone and a helicopter was utilized to cover the area," read a police release. "At the time of the search the water level was much higher and the water was very dirty which impeded visibility."

A post mortem was done in London Friday morning. Preliminary information found no signs of suspicious circumstances related to Robertson's death.

Members of the Sarnia Police Service thanked the public for help during the search efforts and expressed condolences to the Robertson family.
