Suspect sought in armed robbery

Sarnia police are investigating an early morning armed robbery.

Cst. John Sottosanti said at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, city police were called about a robbery at a gas bar on London Line.

It's alleged a female suspect entered the store brandishing a firearm, and was handed over a quantity of cash and several other items before fleeing on foot.

Sottosanti said she's described as white with a thin build, about 5'4" tall, and is believed to be in her 30s. The suspect was wearing a grey and black hoodie with the hood drawn up close on her face, along with grey pants, and two tone black and white running shoes.

Police said the suspect was also wearing black sunglasses, and was carrying a black backpack with pink piping on the shoulder straps.

No injuries were reported.
