MPP Bailey to address business concerns during virtual town hall

Local residents and members of the business community can voice their concerns or questions to Sarnia-Lambton's Member of Provincial Parliament about what can be expected in 2023 during an informal meeting.

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual town hall with MPP Bob Bailey on Thursday, January 12, starting at 12 p.m. Once registered, participants will receive an email with a Zoom link.

Marketing and Events Coordinator Robin Cooke said the chamber wanted to start the new year with some concerns from the business community being addressed.

"Some of the questions we've asked are about the rising cost of inflation and what that's going to look like for our community," said Cooke.

As of Wednesday, about 40 people had registered for the event but only a few questions had been submitted.

"There's such a wide variety of people, members of the public -- not just chamber members -- which is nice to see," said Cooke. "We have people who are interested in what MPP Bailey says and we hope to continue on with this type of advocacy."

Questions can be submitted via email to info@slchamber.ca. Participants are encouraged to have questions submitted by the end of the day Thursday, January 5.

The virtual town hall is scheduled to run until 12:30 p.m. but Cooke said more time will be allotted if more questions are received.
