A Sarnia woman is facing drug and weapon charges after Middlesex OPP seized meth and a homemade stun gun outside Strathroy early Saturday.
At around 3:30 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle on the eastbound Highway 402, east of Hickory Drive. The driver and lone occupant was suspended and was wanted by another police service, leading to her arrest without incident.
Police then located methamphetamine and other illicit drugs in the vehicle, as well as a homemade Conducted Energy Weapon.
Jennifer Oliver, 49, faces the following charges:
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of of property obtained by crime over and under $5,000
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a Schedule I, III and IV substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine and other drugs.
The suspect was being held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
