Sarnia police say the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run crash with a cyclist Monday afternoon has come forward.
Sarnia police said a bike was struck by a car at around 2:47 p.m. at the intersection of Briarfield Avenue and Michigan Avenue.
The cyclist was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was released later in the evening.
The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and police put out a call to the public in hopes of gathering more information.
On Tuesday morning, police said the 19-year-old male driver came forward, allowing the Traffic Unit to continue its investigation.
Police are reminding the public that if you are involved in a collision you are required to render assistance to the other parties involved and to exchange information.
