Police investigate break and enter to downtown business

Sarnia police are hopeful the public can help identify a pair of suspects accused of breaking into a business in the downtown area late last week.

According to investigators, the individuals smashed through the front doors of a store on Mitton Street South, just south of Davis Street. Police say the pair took an unspecified quantity of cash and merchandise.

Officers say the theft took place sometime between 5:15 p.m. November 18, and 10 p.m. November 19.

In video surveillance obtained by officers, the suspects are seen walking up and down the street near the store carrying bags of items. The pair were wearing bulky clothing, jackets with hoods, baseball caps and backpacks during the theft.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact Det. Jeff Rovers at 519-344-8861, ext. 6159, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers online or at 1-800-222-8477.
