A Halloween themed outdoor market is creeping and crawling its way into Mitton Village.
The inaugural Frightfest in the Village goes Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Maud's Variety at 125 Mitton Street.
Co-organizer Cat Cabajar said the family-friendly event will feature around 20 vendors.
"They are mostly local businesses, we have a couple from out of town that are coming as well," said Cabajar. "We're excited the news has spread that far. It's all Halloween-themed, handmade or interactive booths."
The Painted Cat art studio owner said while the event is free to attend, donations for the Inn of the Good Shepherd will be accepted.
"This is just a great time to be organizing something that is promoting the community, especially in Mitton Village because we're working so hard on rejuvenating this area."
Cabajar said she, and fellow organizer Crystal Boulton, had visions of a Halloween festival in the community.
"And when we discovered that we had the same vision, we decided to bring it to life and make it happen," said Cabajar.

Meanwhile, the Celebration of Fright Tour, created by Boulton when COVID-19 threw a wrench in regular Halloween plans, is returning.
"We weren't sure what to do for Halloween [in 2020]," said Boulton. "I knew there was a Christmas lights tour put on by the city, and I thought we might as well do a Halloween one, and since a lot of people aren't going out, they'll have a little more energy for their home decorations."
Boulton said a map of roughly 90 houses in Sarnia-Lambton was released this week, up from around 60 houses in 2020.
