Murder suspect included in updated list of Canada's most wanted

A man sought in connection to a homicide investigation linked to Watford is included in an updated list of Canada's most wanted fugitives.

The RCMP released its latest BOLO (Be On The Lookout) Program list, which names the 25 most wanted individuals across the country, on Tuesday.

Among those named was 36-year-old Phuong Tan Nguyen, who is wanted in connection to a homicide investigation after human remains were found at Twin Creeks Landfill and Environmental Center in Watford in October 2021.

In April, Nguyen was listed as eighth on the Top 25 list and as of Tuesday, he is listed as 10th.

York Regional Police said Nguyen is considered armed and dangerous. He's described as being 5’9”, 180 pounds, and also goes by the name "Mike."

Investigators released photos of a vehicle of interest in the case. It was seen around 11:30 p.m. on September 18, 2021, at 111 Zenway Boulevard in Vaughan.

It's believed Quoc Tran and Kristy Nguyen were murdered at that address and they were last seen on September 18, 2021.

Meanwhile, a reward of up to $250,000 was set for information leading to the arrest of the number one most wanted person. Rabih Alkhalil is wanted on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and being unlawfully at large. He escaped a prison in British Columbia over the summer.

Suspects wanted in Windsor homicide investigations are also on the list.
