Canadian rockers Big Wreck return to Sarnia

A popular Canadian rock band is making its return to Sarnia later this year.

Big Wreck will take to the stage at the Imperial Theatre on December 14.

Executive Director Brian Austin Jr. said it's exciting. The last time the band played at the theatre was in 2019.

"They were one of the last big, big shows that we did before everything shut down [due to COVID]," said Austin Jr. "They blew the roof off of the place, it was a sold out crowd and we're expecting the same this time around. They're a huge staple in Sarnia music, they got a lot of play on K106.3 and I feel like they're a big part of the soundtrack of a lot of our lives."

Austin Jr. said things are busy at the theatre right now.

"We're really starting to ramp things up," he said. "Right now we've got over 30 shows that we're producing. So, there's lots of work going on behind the scenes and we're excited to bring it to the stage."

Big Wreck played at the Revelree Music Festival in Canatara Park in July.

Familiar songs include The Oaf, Blown Wide Open, and That Song.

Tickets for Big Wreck are $57 and go on sale Friday October 7 at www.imperialtheatre.net.

The Imperial Theatre box office is open Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
