Fall fair returns to Plympton-Wyoming

The Plympton-Wyoming Fall Fair will return this weekend with all the typical attractions, however, it will be shorter than in past years.

Plympton-Wyoming Agricultural Society President Lauren Armstrong said the event is going from a three-day event to a two-day event this year.

The event was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was scaled down in 2021, so coming back to a full event in 2022, Armstrong said it was easier to keep it as a two-day event.

"Myself, I'm on the provincial board and a lot of fairs you are seeing are going to scale down this year just to get up on their feet, [and] find new volunteers," she said.

The fair will be held on Friday and Saturday with a schedule packed of shows, ceremonies, and displays. The full schedule can be found on the Agricultural Societies' website.

"We're going to end the weekend with a big showcase, featuring a bunch of local talent from Lambton County," said Armstrong.

Part of the proceeds from Saturday's showcase (at 7 p.m.) will support a local nursery school, Wyoming Wee Ones.

The Wyoming Fair Grounds is located at 595 Main St.
