Police conduct grid search in missing man investigation

City police conducted a grid search of an area near Lasalle Line, east of Highway 40 Wednesday, in connection with a Sarnia man's suspicious disappearance.

Cst. John Sottosanti said police are looking for items of evidentiary value in regards to 33-year-old Trevor Chaput, who has been missing for over a month.

"We are concerned for his wellbeing," said Sottosanti. "Due to the information that we do have there is concern of a suspicious nature in this matter, but our primary goal is to find Trevor Chaput and any assistance that the public can provide would be of great value."

Chaput is described as about 5'6" tall, with a thin build and weighing about 160 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes and a scar on his right cheek.

Chaput also has the Scorpio and Leo signs tattooed on his upper chest.
