'Patio lanterns' may not light the stage at Imperial Theatre but it will sound throughout the venue as Sarnia's own Kim Mitchell performs some of his hits.
The Canadian rock icon is scheduled to perform at the Sarnia theatre on February 15, 2023.
"He sold over 1.5 million records, he's earned over 17 Juno nominations, and we're really excited to be able to include him next season," said Executive Director Brian Austin Jr. "This is the first time he'll be performing on the Imperial Theatre stage!"
Mitchell was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2021. Last year, Mitchell also dropped his eight studio album The BigFantasize.
Tickets to see Mitchell in Sarnia will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday.
The Imperial Theatre box office is currently on summer hours from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Tickets for $65 can be purchased online.
"I think tickets are probably going to fly off the shelf if it's anything like Jann Arden was last week," said Austin Jr.
Tickets to see Arden in February 2023 were nearly sold out in just four hours on July 29. As of August 2, Austin Jr. said the tickets were 97 per cent sold out.
