Organizers ready for first Cruise into Wellings Car Show

Wellings of Corunna, a community for independent adults, is excited to host its first car show in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children.

The Cruise into Wellings Car Show will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

General Manager Billy Yurchuk said they're unsure of exactly how many vehicles will show up, but he anticipates there will be approximately 50-60 vehicles. The cost per space is $20.

"We'll have lots of different vehicles including a couple of antique fire trucks," he said. "Actually, the first fire truck in Sarnia will be here, as well as a fire truck that serviced NOVA Corunna for several years."

As this is Wellings' first time hosting a car show, Yurchuk said members of Sarnia Street Machines provided great advice to help the planning process go smoothly.

Yurchuk said it's a great opportunity for people to enjoy the weather this weekend, look at some antique vehicles, and get to know the community.

"Have a look at the beautiful venue and if someone's looking for a tour while they're here, then we'll be able to accommodate that. It's more about working with the community and providing a wonderful event."

BBQ options will also be available for attendees to purchase lunch. There will also be musical entertainment.

Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door. Those who donate will be entered into a door prize draw.

Proceeds at the door and from the 50/50 raffle will go toward Pathways.

The Cruise into Wellings Car Show will be held at 180 Bunker Ave. in Corunna.
