Sleek vehicles to 'cruise' into Canatara Park

The 37th annual Cruise in the Park will return to Canatara Park on Sunday.

Sarnia Street Machines Vice President Kip McMillan said they're excited to welcome back car enthusiasts and members of the community. Cruise in the Park will be held from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

"If the weather permits, we're hoping for more than 700 cars and a few thousand guests to come visit," said McMillan. "We're looking forward to a beautiful day!"

The event will go ahead rain or shine.

McMillan said the show is not limited to only classic cars, as long as it's a nice vehicle that has been cared for.

"Over the years, we've had a huge variety of top of the line $100,000 and more show vehicles," he said. "It's always a great time!"

Vehicle admission is $15 and walk-in admission is by donation. Funds raised will go toward Pathways Health Centre for Children.

McMillan said the event will also feature several local vendors and live music. Scott Manery and the Barnburners will start playing around 12 p.m.

The Sarnia Street Machines are also planning to host the Hot Night Cool Cars cruise at Canatara Park on August 4.
