Sarnia police have arrested a Petrolia man and a Dresden woman accused of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine.

Members of the Sarnia Police Vice Unit stopped a vehicle on Wednesday while conducting surveillance. A 25-year-old Petrolia man and a 39-year-old Dresden woman were arrested.

It's alleged the two were in possession of 29.3 grams of blue and purple fentanyl, 9.5 grams of blue fentanyl, 19.22 grams of cocaine, and 6.52 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Officers also seized $1,515 in Canadian currency, two cellphones, a functioning digital scale, and four large dime bags from the vehicle.

As part of the investigation, police also searched a residence on Petrolia Line on Thursday.

Police seized 0.92 grams of crack cocaine, 3.88 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a functioning digital scale, packaging material, and firearm ammunition.

Sarnia police said Nicholas Edward Bailey of Petrolia and Caylie Rhianno White of Dresden were jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine. Bailey was also charged with two counts of breaching his release order.

Both of the accused have been held in custody pending a future court appearance. Charges against the two have not been proven in court.
