Lambton College Community Employment Services is hosting a job fair at the Camlachie Community Centre on Thursday.

Job Developer Kyle Walker said it’s their first in-person job fair since before the pandemic.

“It is open to students, graduates, youth and general job seekers within the community who are looking for employment,” said Walker.

He said about 25 employers from across Lambton County will be on site.

“We have a wide variety of positions. From general labour, customer service, part-time jobs, summer jobs and then we get into the trades, management and hospitality and just about everything in between.”

The job fair goes from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 6767 Camlachie Road.

“Those that are interested in participating should come prepared with a resume and also a social insurance number, if they’re interested in learning more about our services and finding out how community employment services will help them find employment here within Lambton County.”

A Lambton College program advisor will also be on-site to answer any postsecondary education questions.

In order to register for the full range of free employment services, the college said you must be able to work in Canada, be working less than 20 hours a week and not be returning to school.
