Lambton College teacher to run for Liberals in Sarnia-Lambton

The Sarnia-Lambton Provincial Liberal Association has selected a local educator as its candidate for the June election.

Mark Russell teaches computer programming and business classes at Lambton College.

Russell has also served as the Chair of the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee and the President of the Sarnia Riding Club.

He says he is committed to restoring the Liberal progress that was once made in Ontario regarding health care, affordable housing and the cost of living.

Russell will be going up against incumbent Conservative MPP Bob Bailey, the NDP's Dylan Stelpstra and the New Blue Party of Ontario's Keith Benn.

The Green Party has not yet named a local candidate.

Ontarians head to the polls on June 2.
