Great Lakes students 'Ready to Launch' Revue

Music, dancing and comedy will be showcased at Great Lakes Secondary School.

The Revue kicks off Thursday night. The theme of this year's showcase is 'Ready to Launch'.

Great Lakes Teacher and Revue Director April Brander said this will be the first showcase since 2019, and the first one in the school's new auditorium.

"The tradition of The Revue continues in a new space at a new school," said Brander. "It's a three night variety show with comedy, musical acts and dances."

Brander said about 100 students are involved in this year's production.

"There are all kinds of comedy sketches and mixed in with all of that we have four bands that are playing musical numbers and four choreographed dances, including the really famous Guy's Dance and the Girls Kick Line."

Tickets are available at the door for $10 or in advance at the main office at Great Lakes Secondary School.

You can also book your tickets through the Great Lakes Secondary Theatre's Facebook page.

Brander said seating is first-come first-serve.

The annual variety show became a tradition when Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School [SCITS] opened, with its state-of-the-art auditorium, on Wellington Street in 1922.
