Sarnia Home Show returns after COVID hiatus

After taking a two year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Sarnia Home Show is returning April 1 to 3.

The event, into its 37th year, is being held at the Clearwater Arena Complex.

Organizer Penni Steele said there will be lots to see and do at the event which will feature over 100 vendors.

She said for some people it's the unofficial kick off to the spring renovation season.

"We have all kinds of things," said Steele. "There's windows, doors, flooring places, painting places, lots and lots of different things for the house. There are also some fun things too, I like to call them the 'pitch guys' that have the neatest thing that you need to have ever. They kind of make it fun for the show."

Steele said everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of vaccination status or whether or not they choose to wear a mask.

"We've tried to make it very friendly because of COVID, we've made the aisles a bit wider and things like that just so people will feel comfortable."

The show runs on Friday, April 1 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., April 2 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and April 3 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Admission is $7 for adults and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
