Hydro One looking to energize life in Sarnia-Lambton

Hydro One is now accepting applications under its "Energizing Life Community Fund."

Organizations, including those in Sarnia-Lambton, can apply to receive a $25,000 grant toward initiatives that promote physical, psychological or emotional safety in their communities.

VP of Marketing and Communications Jay Armitage said a local organization benefitted from funding in 2020.

"Last year we funded the North Lambton Community Health Centre to refurbish computers for virtual programming," said Armitage. "We knew that through the pandemic, how important it was for organizations to go virtual and that can come at a cost. That's why it was important for us to get behind the North Lambton Community Health Centre."

Armitage said other examples of funded projects include virtual programs for isolated seniors, or capital investments in response to COVID restrictions.

Those interested can apply until January 31, 2022 by visiting www.hydroone.com/energizinglife.
