Preferred Towing marks milestone with release of replica rotator

Sarnia's Preferred Towing is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the release of a replica of its 65 ton rotator.

The truck, made famous on the TV show Heavy Rescue: 401, comes in building block form and features an instruction booklet and a mini Gary and Collin.

Co-Owner Tammy Vandenheuvel said they have 2,000 available for purchase.

They're $65 each and proceeds support a great cause.

"We're also using this as a fundraiser for Ohana Landing, which is the housing for homeless youth project that my husband Gary and I have created here in Sarnia," said Vandenheuvel. "The kids have settled in, a lot of them have jobs and some of them are going to school. It's working out really well."

Vandenheuvel said the truck has a moving winch and rotating and sliding boom and comes in its own custom box.

You can pick up yours at Preferred Towing at 46 Indian Road South, or send an email to office@preferredtowing.com.

Out of town shipping is available.
