10 new COVID-19 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has increased to 50.

Lambton Public Health reported 10 new infections on Saturday and seven resolved cases.

There have been a total of 4,228 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region since the beginning of the pandemic, along with a total of 4,107 resolved cases.

The local death toll remains at 71.

There are four active outbreaks listed on the health unit's website. Bluewater Health declared an outbreak on its general medicine unit on Friday.

A vaccine clinic will be held on Monday at Point Edward Optimist Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. There are no scheduled clinics over the weekend. Anyone requiring a first or second vaccine dose is able to attend a clinic without an appointment but residents eligible to receive a third dose will need to book an appointment.
