Petrolia assault investigation continues

Lambton OPP have yet to make an arrest in a weekend assault that sent one person to hospital in Petrolia.

Police and EMS were called to a residence on Grove Street at 1 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived they observed an adult individual with multiple injuries, consistent with an edged weapon.

The individual was taken to hospital by ambulance, and is now being treated at a hospital out of town.

Members of the OPP’s crime unit and forensic identification services are still investigating the incident.
