Blizzards on the menu for Miracle Treat Day

After being cancelled in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic, Miracle Treat Day is back at Sarnia's DQ Grill and Chill.

Owner Lori Lunn said net proceeds from every blizzard sold at Dairy Queen restaurants Thursday will be donated to the 14 Children's Miracle Network hospitals across Canada.

"So this is 19 years for Miracle Treat Day and all proceeds for every blizzard that we sell here goes to the London Children's Hospital," said Lunn. "Our blizzards of the month are pumpkin pie and pecan pie, I mean you don't have to buy those ones but they're delicious. We're hoping to be busy and try to get as many people through the store as we can."

On average, 35,000 children enter a Children's Miracle Network hospital each week.

The Sarnia DQ Grill and Chill on Exmouth Street is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
