Sarnia police responded to the area of Wellington Street and Cardiff Drive Thursday afternoon after a child was struck by a vehicle.
Cst. Nelson Amaral said a child on a bicycle was taken to hospital at around 4 p.m. with undisclosed injuries.
Motorists were being advised to avoid the area while police investigated.
Amaral said the investigation is in its early stages.
