The number of COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health has gone up again.

The hospital is reporting that six patients with the virus have been admitted, up one from Friday.

Communications and Public Affairs Chief Julia Oosterman said all six patients are not vaccinated, and four are in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Just over a month ago, the hospital had no COVID-positive patients.

Lambton Public Health reported eight new confirmed cases Monday, for a total of 4,072 since the start of the pandemic. The health unit said the number of resolved cases went up by seven to 3,924, increasing the active case count by one to 78.

The death toll is unchanged at 70, and there are five active school and workplace outbreaks.
