Tickets now on sale for BWHF Dream Home Lottery

Tickets are now on sale for the 27th annual Bluewater Health Foundation Dream Home Lottery.

The home, at 620 Mead Court in Sarnia, is valued at over $930,000 and includes furniture, electronics, and appliances.

Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander said the lottery has raised over $8 million for the hospital over its 26 year history.

"It's remarkable to see that kind of support," said Alexander. "The lottery has actually grown leaps and bounds over the past 26 years. It's enabled us to purchase much-needed equipment like CT scanners, MRI machines, mammography equipment, just to name a few big pieces of equipment that we've raised funds for."

Alexander said proceeds from the lottery will again be shared with the Petrolia CEEH Foundation.

"With respect to the Sarnia hospital, we're currently working on Access Open Minds and raising funds for a new lab at Bluewater Health," she said. "These are all incredibly needed projects and pieces of equipment in our community. There are also some very important redevelopments and renovations taking place at the Petrolia hospital."

The home was built by Iacobelli Construction and designed by Designs by Leena. In-person open houses are set to commence in November based on advice from Canada’s health authorities.

Other prizes include a new BMW, cash prizes, and free tickets, and there are also some early bird draws.

The draw date is set for March 24, 2022. For more information, go to www.bwhfdreamhome.com.
