Drugs, weapon seized in search of stolen vehicle

Two people are facing drug and weapons charges after Sarnia police pulled over a stolen vehicle October 7.

Officers with the VICE Unit were conducting an investigation, leading them to an address in the 200 block of Vidal Street South.

Police stopped the vehicle at around 9 p.m., and allegedly seized over $27,224 in drugs.

Drugs seized include 120.53 grams of methamphetamine, 52.7 grams of cocaine, 20.2 grams of crack cocaine, 5.76 grams of heroin, 233 hydromorphone pills and 37 morphine pills.

Police also confiscated $10,095 in cash and a set of brass knuckles.

David Lloyd Whiteford, 51, of Corunna is charged with:

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Morphine

- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (stolen vehicle)

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Heroin

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Hydromorphone

- Possession of a Schedule III Substance – Psilocybin

- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (brass knuckles)

- Possession of Weapons Dangerous to Public (brass knuckles)

- Failing to Comply with Release Order (x4)

Raymond Howard Boorman, 49, of London is charged with:

- Operation of Conveyance While Prohibited

- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (stolen vehicle)

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Morphine

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Heroin

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Hydromorphone

- Possession of a Schedule III Substance – Psilocybin

- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (brass knuckles)

- Possession of Weapons Dangerous to Public (brass knuckles)

Both suspects were remanded into custody. Their next court appearance will be on October 14.
