An avid theatre goer and supporter of the performing arts has won the Imperial Theatre's September 50/50 draw.
Blanche Murphy had last month's winning numbers, taking home a prize of $78,055.
It's the eighth month in a row that the jackpot has been over $75,000 and, as of October 4th, the theatre has given away over $1.6 million in prizes.
The September draw provided funding for a theatrical lighting equipment upgrade, enhancements to the orchestra pit, live streaming equipment, and other physical upgrades to the building.
Other upgrades at the theatre include washroom renovations, and auditorium upgrades like new seats, new paint, new floor, and state of the art PA speaker system. The fifth and final phase of the roof replacement will be completed soon.
Tickets for the October 50/50 draw can be purchased online at www.imperialtheatre5050.net. They're 3 for $10; 40 for $20; and 200 for $40.
The October 2021 Cash Lottery runs from October 4 until October 31, with the winning number drawn and announced via Facebook Live on November 1 at 10 a.m.
The $1,000 earlybird prize winning number will be drawn and announced on October 22 at 10 a.m.
