Teen arrested, suspected cocaine seized following disturbance call

Sarnia police seized a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine after responding to a disturbance call at Aamjiwnaang First Nation early Saturday morning.

A number of officers were sent to White Circle at around 1 a.m. after information was received that a firearm was believed to have been discharged and an individual may have had a knife or axe in their possession.

Officers observed a male leaving a residence in the area where the weapons complaint came from.

When police approached the individual to speak to him, officers became concerned that he wouldn't show his hands as instructed, and kept them in the front pocket of his hoodie that was weighed down by something.

The male was taken into custody and searched.

Sarnia police said $1,000 in Canadian currency, six rounds of .22 calibre ammunition and 216 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $21,600 was discovered.

A firearm was not located.

Jonah George Wilson, 18, of Sarnia was charged with one count of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
